Where we are up to 

There are now 18 Aboriginal organisations accredited as sponsors under the WDP program. As at September 2022, these organisations are managing 57 WDPs (more than $240,000 of fines) and have supported clients to work off more than $880,000 in fines.

During 2022, 135 WDPs were finalised or cancelled (at the sponsor or client’s request, or following disengagement).

Fines and Enforcement Services continues to work with other Aboriginal organisations who are interested in becoming accredited under the scheme. Fine and Enforcement Services recent engagements with Aboriginal WDP sponsors, include Victorian Aboriginal Community Services Association Ltd (July-August 2022), Dardi Munwurro (August 2022).
