Where we are up to
The Koori Justice Unit has developed a new Grant Management Framework that seeks to strengthen grants processes and ensure self-determination is embedded in decision-making processes around resource allocation and monitoring and evaluation of Aboriginal justice grant programs.
The Grant Management Framework was endorsed by the Aboriginal Justice Caucus in December 2020, following several months of online consultations with the Caucus, Regional Aboriginal Justice Advisory Committees (RAJACs), Local Engagement Officers, and Aboriginal community organisations.
This Framework now forms the basis for the allocation of RAJAC Implementation Funds, with RAJACs identifying priority areas for investment of grant funding in line with their Regional Justice Action Plans.
