The Loddon Mallee Regional Aboriginal Justice Advisory Committee (RAJAC) acknowledges the traditional owners within the region and pays respects to elders both past and present.

With an Aboriginal population of 6,702 the Loddon Mallee region accounts for approximately 14% of Victoria’s total Aboriginal population.

A RAJAC Executive Officer and two Local Aboriginal Justice Action Committee (LAJAC) Project Officers work across the region’s ten Local Government Areas: Buloke, Campaspe, Central Goldfields, Gannawarra, Greater Bendigo, Loddon, Macedon Ranges, Mildura, Mount Alexander and Swan Hill.

Three prisons are located in the Loddon Mallee region: Tarrengower, Loddon and Middleton prisons. The Malmsbury Youth Justice Centre is also located in the region. Baroona Youth Healing Centre is located in Echuca. A range of justice services are offered from Justice Service Centres in Loddon Mallee (External link) including Mildura (External link), Swan Hill (External link), and Bendigo Regional Office (External link).
