Aboriginal Youth Justice lead the Cultural Support Plan working group. This group seeks ‘One Cultural Support Plan’ and plan sharing across government departments and community organisations for children accessing multiple services.
Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, Department of Justice and Community Safety and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations in the Wimmera South West Region entered into a 12-month agreement from 1 July 2020 to utilise ‘one Cultural Support plan’ template and to share plans between agencies for common clients (with the consent of the child). To date feedback has been positive and will be used as a case study for the state-wide working group.
The Cultural Support Plan working group met again in 2021 to progress work towards a state-wide process for plan sharing.
