The Grampians Regional Aboriginal Justice Advisory Committee (RAJAC) acknowledges the traditional owners within the region and pays respects to elders both past and present.
With an Aboriginal population of 3,164 the Grampians region accounts for approximately 7% of Victoria’s total Aboriginal population.
A RAJAC Executive Officer works across the region’s eleven Local Government Areas: Ararat, Ballarat, Golden plains, Hepburn, Hindmarsh, Horsham, Moorabool, Northern Grampians, Pyrenees, West Wimmera, and Yarriambiack.
There are two prisons located in the Grampians region: Langi Kal Kal prison and Hopkins Prison. A full suite of justice services are offered from the Horsham Justice Service Centre (External link) and Ballarat Regional Office (External link).
