There was a long vacancy in the funded Koori List engagement role due to COVID-19 restrictions coupled with a requirement to work onsite due to the nature of VOCAT work. However, a dedicated Koori Engagement Officer was appointed in June 2021 and is located within the Tribunal's Principal Registry at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court. This position will improve assistance provided to Aboriginal victims of violent crime.
