Where we are up to 

The Department of Justice and Community Safety's Koori Employment and Career Strategy (2017-2020) provides Aboriginal employees with developmental opportunities through the following initiatives:
- State-wide and regional Aboriginal Employee Network
- Aboriginal Youth Network
- Aboriginal Career Development Fund
- Aboriginal Mentoring Program
Work is underway to develop the next phase of the Strategy, set to launch in 2020. 

 

Background

The Department of Justice and Community Safety’s Koori Employment and Career Strategy, seeks to increase Aboriginal employment opportunities and strengthen career development programs for Aboriginal employees, to support them in reaching their full career potential.
